Justin Marin is a multidisciplinary artist based between New Hampshire and Kyoto, Japan. He merges traditional film photography with modern digital techniques, video, motion graphics, and sound design to create emotionally charged visual and auditory experiences.
With a background in graphic design and audio engineering, Justin maintains full creative control over every project; shooting, directing, editing, and processing his own work to achieve a natural yet cinematic aesthetic. His practice is deeply rooted in storytelling, atmosphere, and the interplay between image and sound.
In addition to photography and video, Justin is an active sound designer and electronic music producer. He works extensively with hardware synthesizers, modular systems, and software to craft original soundscapes that often accompany his visual projects. This fusion of sonic and visual mediums allows him to build richer, more immersive worlds for his clients and personal work.
He is also the founder of Chouseki Lab, a collaborative collective of photographers, videographers, 3D artists, composers, and sound designers. Together they deliver creative solutions across fashion, film, music, and brand campaigns; from editorial photography and music videos to full audiovisual installations.
His work has taken him across multiple continents, capturing everything from intimate portraits, raw automotive culture, live music performances, and quiet moments in between. Whether behind the camera, patching a modular system, or mixing in the studio, Justin’s approach is defined by attention to mood, texture, and authenticity.
